Basic PICC Insertion & Advanced PICC Insertion with Ultrasound Placement
Our PICC with Ultrasound Insertion Course is designed for experienced IV clinicians who would like to learn how to place PICC and Midline catheters. This is a nine (9) CE classroom course. Educational hours will be awarded to registered nurses who complete this course and pass the final examination. This course also qualifies as a refresher course for those already placing PICC and Midline catheters.
PICC Care and Maintenance Course
The successful use of a PICC or Midline catheter depends upon the nurse understanding how to use and care for them, as well as how to problem solve catheter related complications. Our 1-CEU course is designed to meet the needs for nurses providing infusion therapy for patients with PICC and Midline catheters in various practice settings. Areas addressed include:
- Patient Selection
- Limitations and Advantages
- Dressing Care and Management
- Sterile Technique
- Assessment and Management of Line Complications
